2015 MVBrewers Poll #9

Carlos Gomez is your choice for No. 8 MVB.

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

It took a while for him to get there but Carlos Gomez has earned his way into the top ten in our Most Valuable Brewers series. You voted for him as the 8th MVB. Gomez had an up and down season. He dealt with various injuries throughout the season and was sidelined by a hamstring issue for a time.

Then the as the trade deadline the Brewers made the hard choice to trade him...twice. In a pretty rare occurrence his trade to the Mets was made public before it was official. The trade was nixed a mere 12 hours later for suspect reasons by the Mets. Frustrating barely had a chance to set in before he was officially traded to the Astros along with Mike Fiers for a quartet of prospects.

It's an interesting question whether that trade value is something that should be considered a part of his value to the Brewers this year. In my opinion it's up to the voter. Regardless of that I do agree that he was a top ten Brewer this year.

Today we open the polling for the No. 9 spot. We've also added Aramis Ramirez to the poll.
