World Series Game 2: Game Thread

How can the Royals and Mets top what happened in Game 1? It will be a tough challenge as Game 2 happens tonight.

So much happened in Game 1 that the game probably became one of the most memorable games in World Series history. Edinson Volquez made the start just minutes after learning about his father's death (that was confirmed by his teammates today). The FOX broadcast was interrupted due to a power failure that took two innings to correct. Two starting pitchers with nearly identical pitching lines. A ninth inning home run to send the game into extra innings. It was all finished with a 14th inning walk-off sacrifice fly to finish a game that took over five hours.

How will the teams follow that one up today? It will be up to starters Jacob deGrom and Johnny Cueto as they will lead their teams into Game 2. Can the Mets steal one and have the advantage heading back to New York? Or will the Royals get the 2-0 lead before three games on the road? You'll have to watch tonight to find out.
