Who do you want the Brewers to draft in the first round?

The MLB draft begins Monday at 6 pm CST. You can catch it on MLB Network if you care to. Until then let's vote on who we want the Brewers to take with their first selection.

I'll be the first to admit that as a fan and an outsider it's pretty much impossible to have a truly informed opinion about a draft prospect. We can read all the scouting reports we want and watch all the video we can. But at the end of the day we just don't have the skills to determine who is going to make it to the majors X years down the road let alone which guy is the "best player available." But that doesn't mean we can't form opinions and find our favorites. We just need to be honest with ourselves about our limitations. With that in mind I thought it would be fun to vote on who we want the Brewers to draft.

In order to do this in a manageable way I'm going to impose some limitations (with a loophole). For this activity I'm only going to include the draft prospects that the various mocks to date have the Brewers taking. In case you missed any of them I'll reproduce the list here as well as the top prospect lists which include scouting reports. Or you could just check out my draft prep article if you haven't already.

I'll also denote how many times a prospect was linked to the Brewers and by how many different publications. So for example, if you see 3x2 next to a player's name, that means he was mentioned in 3 mock drafts by 2 different publications. But remember, this is who you want the Brewers to draft, now who think they will draft. If you want to talk about that, by all means do so in the comments.

I'll leave an "other" option if you don't like anyone listed. Pick that one and tell us in the comments who you'd choose. Just keep in mind guys like Dansby Swanson and Brandon Rogers are going to be gone by the time the Brewers pick.

Check out the mocks if you haven't. Or don't. Check out some scouting reports. Or don't. Pick your guy. Leave a comment. Or don't. Remember, this is just for fun. You don't have to have a reason to like a guy. Just don't get too upset if the Brewers end up passing on him in the real draft. There are plenty of reasons not to take someone and we don't have all the information.

The poll will close at noon on Monday.
