Catcher Josmil Pinto, the Brewers recent waiver claim, was subsequently DFA'd by the team to make way for 1B Chris Carter. This was the third time this offseason Pinto was put on waivers. Fortunately for Milwaukee he was not claimed this time and they will get to keep him in the organization. He will play for the AAA Sky Sox, presumably as their primary catcher though that's not been made official yet and a position change would not be surprising as his defense behind the plate has been poor. His bat has impressed though it's not suited for first base.
