Sadly, the regular season is officially in the books for the Milwaukee Brewers, and the annual six month depression that is the baseball offseason has begun. Our beloved local nine finished with a 73-89 record, and all things considered it certainly could have gone a lot worse in the first year under GM David Stearns.
Now it’s time to make your voice heard and cast your votes for the Most Valuable Brewers of 2016! We’ll be voting for the top 10 contributors with both position players and pitchers eligible for the ballot. The composite WAR data presented is based on an average of each individual’s WAR according to Fangraphs, Baseball-Reference, and Baseball Prospectus. For players that were traded, only their production with the Brewers will be counted.
Jonathan Lucroy’s partial season in Milwaukee won the vote for MVBrewer #4 over the weekend, following Ryan Braun (1), Jonathan Villar (2), and Junior Guerra (3). Today, Carlos Torres has been added to the poll options. The poll will close in 24 hours (until 7:30 AM CST on 11 Oct) and we will then begin voting for the #6 MVBrewer.
