Sadly, the regular season is officially in the books for the Milwaukee Brewers, and the annual six month depression that is the baseball offseason has begun. Our beloved local nine finished with a 73-89 record, and all things considered it certainly could have gone a lot worse in the first year under GM David Stearns.
Now it’s time to make your voice heard and cast your votes for the Most Valuable Brewers of 2016! We’ll be voting for the top 10 contributors with both position players and pitchers eligible for the ballot. The composite WAR data presented is based on an average of each individual’s WAR according to Fangraphs, Baseball-Reference, and Baseball Prospectus. For players that were traded, only their production with the Brewers will be counted.
Ryan Braun won a very close race for MVBrewer #1, and Jonathan Villar staked his claim to MVBrewer #2 by a wide margin. Today, Chris Carter has been added to the poll options. There will be 24 hours to vote in this poll (until 7:30 AM CST on 7 Oct) before it closes and we begin voting for the #4 MVBrewer.
