We took a look at the potential trade market for #2016BrewersAce Junior Guerra yesterday, and today Jon Morosi of Fox Sports says the trade market for the 31-year-old is strong.
Adam McCalvy reported a few days ago that GM David Stearns hasn't mentioned Guerra -- or any potential trade pieces -- by name this winter, but did say "a number" of Brewers drew interest from other executives at last week's General Manager meetings.
Figuring out Guerra's trade value could prove to be a little tricky. Stearns could easily point to his production this year and the fact he hasn’t even hit arbitration yet and ask for a lot. Other teams could point to his age and lack of track record in an effort to talk Stearns down. At the same time, the Brewers seem to be truly surprised by Guerra's success in 2016 and may be motivated to capitalize on the value of a player that wasn't in their original rebuilding plans.
