Milwaukee Brewers infielder Jonathan Villar is a running enthusiast.
He led the majors in steal last year, and by the looks of things, hasn’t stopped running this winter. In fact, he stole home in a Dominican winter league game last night.

He was halfway home before the pitcher even noticed and threw home. Villar’s team was having trouble scoring runs last night, so he decided to take matters into his own hands. It turned out to be the only run they scored on the night.
Villar showed he isn’t afraid to take chances like this during his first season in Milwaukee, swiping 62 bags, but also getting caught stealing 18 times and being thrown out several more times when trying to take an extra base. Villar has been allowed to see some limited action in winter ball after breaking out for the Brewers in his first full big league season. In 6 games so far for Aguilas Cibaenas of the Dominican Winter League, Villar is batting .240/.286/.480 with 2 home runs.
