Brew Crew Ball Community Top Prospects Vote: #12

New, comments

We added two prospects to the list over the weekend. The entire schedule is off and nothing will ever be the same.

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

It was a wild weekend for the countdown, as we actually added two players to the list over the weekend. Kodi Medeiros was your run-away winner in the poll for the No. 10 spot, but he'll actually sit at No. 11, since you voted to slot new acquisition C Jacob Nottingham in at No. 7 on the list. Today, we'll move forward with No. 12, and there's still a ton of talent left on the board. Today, we're adding right fielder Michael Reed to the vote, a player who may very well see some significant action with Milwaukee as soon as this season. Your list so far:

1. SS Orlando Arcia 11. LHP Kodi Medeiros
2. OF Brett Phillips 12. ???
3. RHP Jorge Lopez 13.
4. OF Trent Clark 14.
5. LHP Josh Hader 15.
6. SS Gilbert Lara 16.
7. C Jacob Nottingham 17.
8. RHP Cody Ponce 18.
9. RHP Zach Davies 19.
10. RHP Devin Williams 20.

Some updates: I've removed the MLB Pipeline ranks, since no one left is ranked yet (They're releasing the NL Central lists on the 24th, but they're also counting down the top ten organizations starting March 1, and there's a good chance the Brewers are among that group). John Sickels updated his list to include Nottingham (who he ranked fourth) and Isan Diaz (sixth), so those ranks are updated below as well. Also, Keith Law released his top 100 last week: it included four Brewers (the same as our top for above) plus a fifth, Michael Reed, was included on his "just missed" article (ESPN Insider is required to view both articles).

Again, if you need a little guidance, here are the organizational lists that have been released up to this point. Our list will of course supersede all of them as the definitive Brewers prospects ranking once complete:

Minor League Ball
Baseball America
Baseball Prospectus: 1-1011-20

Voting will be live until the following day (or Monday, for polls posted on Friday) at noon for each poll in this countdown. If at any point there's a player you would have voted for and think others would as well, just let me know in the comments.
