Brew Crew Ball Community Top Prospects Vote: #14

New, comments

Clint Coulter comes in at No. 13 in a Brewers system that seems stronger by the day.

As president of the Clint Coulter Fan Club, I am proud to announce today that the erstwhile catcher has been voted into our list at No. 13. Today we add another off-season addition to the vote, outfielder Rymer Liriano, whom Milwaukee picked up on waivers from San Diego. Liriano doesn't appear on any organizational top prospects lists (though he is mentioned in the Baseball Prospectus write-up for the Padres and the yet to be updated MLB Pipeline list), which makes me wonder if perhaps everyone's forgotten that his rookie status remains in tact. Just last year, John Sickels of Minor League Ball had him as the Padres' No. 3 prospect, and he had a terrific year in Triple-A last season. Does he earn your vote? Your list so far:

1. SS Orlando Arcia 11. LHP Kodi Medeiros
2. OF Brett Phillips 12. SS Isan Diaz
3. RHP Jorge Lopez 13. OF Clint Coulter
4. OF Trent Clark 14.
5. LHP Josh Hader 15.
6. SS Gilbert Lara 16.
7. C Jacob Nottingham 17.
8. RHP Cody Ponce 18.
9. RHP Zach Davies 19.
10. RHP Devin Williams 20.

Some updates: I've removed the MLB Pipeline ranks, since no one left is ranked yet (They're releasing the NL Central lists on the 24th, but they're also counting down the top ten organizations starting March 1, and there's a good chance the Brewers are among that group). John Sickels updated his list to include Nottingham (who he ranked fourth) and Isan Diaz (sixth), so those ranks are updated below as well. Also, Keith Law released his top 100last week: it included four Brewers (the same as our top for above) plus a fifth, Michael Reed, was included on his "just missed" article. Keith Law also released his organizational top 20 on Tuesday (ESPN Insider is required to view all those articles).

Again, if you need a little guidance, here are the organizational lists that have been released up to this point. Our list will of course supersede all of them as the definitive Brewers prospects ranking once complete:

Minor League Ball
Baseball America
Baseball Prospectus: 1-1011-20
ESPN/Keith Law

Voting will be live until the following day (or Monday, for polls posted on Friday) at noon for each poll in this countdown. If at any point there's a player you would have voted for and think others would as well, just let me know in the comments.
