Hi Milwaukee Brewers fans, today I will post my predictions for this 2016 Milwaukee Brewers season. As you know our spring training camp is starting soon. Hopefully we do our best there and hopefully no one gets an injury.
For starters, I hate our team postseason stats, according to Wikipedia. Check this out guys-we have never won a World Series and we have never won a NL pennant, and an AL pennant only in 1982. Also, we had won NL Central title back in 2011, and obviously an AL East title in 1982. And then, of course our only Wild Card berth, in 2008. Not exactly what we fans want.
Next, let's talk about our upcoming 2016 season. Our first game in the regular season is against the San Francisco Giants, which I think for us, there is a 50/50 chance of winning. Plus it is going to be a home game, so that helps. Then it is the Houston Astros at home again. We'll probably lose that one, unfortunately. Then we play the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates on the road, again two tough matchups. Next, we have two road games against the Minnesota Twins, and then two home games against them. We should win those. Then we have home games against the Miami Marlins and the Philadelphia Phillies. With a Chicago Cubs matchup in between the two. So that kicks off the first month of professional baseball, April.
Then we have a pretty hard month of baseball in May with games against the Miami Marlins, the Los Angeles Angels, the Chicago Cubs, the New York Mets, the Atlanta Braves, and the St. Louis Cardinals. The only relatively easy games should be against the Cincinnati Reds and the San Diego Padres.
Furthermore, hooray an approximately easy June with the only hard games being the St. Louis Cardinals (again) and the New York Mets.
Afterwards, June. An OK month, with the St. Louis Cardinals, the Cubbies, and the Pittsburgh Pirates. At this point we should already begin seeing who is going to make the postseason and who is not.
In August we have the Atlanta Braves, the Chicago Cubs, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the St. Louis Cardinals.
In the fall month of September we have the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Chicago Cubs, and the St. Louis Cardinals.
And to finish out a few long months of baseball, in the first two days of October we have to play an easy game against the Colorado Rockies.
So then, the postseason starts. So here are my predictions for the World Series: The Chicago Cubs defeat the Kansas City Royals in Game 7 of the World Series.
This is the end of my first article on SBNation. I hope you have enjoyed it. Post your thoughts and predictions for this upcoming Milwaukee Brewers season in the comments section. I would also like to see who you got in the World Series!
