Brew Crew Ball Community Top Prospects Vote: #19

New, comments

There's big competition for inclusion in the back end of the list. Who will take the penultimate spot?

As the remaining spots on our top 20 list dwindle, there are still several players with strong support, and not all of them will make our list. In what was frankly a somewhat suspicious turn of events, Michael Reed more than doubled his vote total over the last two hours of voting to run away with the No. 18 spot. Reed finished with 30% of the vote (30/10=3 Illuminati confirmed) and now with only two spots left, the aggrieved Adrian Houser, who had a commanding lead at the beginning of the day, has very little time left to find his way onto the list. Also vying for one of the last two sports are recent top vote-getters Jacob Gatewood and Rymer Liriano -- at least one of those three players will be on the outside looknig in. Today we're celebrating the birthday of Bowdien "Bubba" Derby the best way we can: by adding him to our vote. Happy 22nd, pal, and many happy returns.

Update: We have taken the dramatic step of resetting the poll as of 3:45 pm due to vote manipulation. If you voted prior to this, a) sorry bro and b) please feel free to recast your vote.

Here's your list so far:

1. SS Orlando Arcia 11. LHP Kodi Medeiros
2. OF Brett Phillips 12. SS Isan Diaz
3. RHP Jorge Lopez 13. OF Clint Coulter
4. OF Trent Clark 14. OF Monte Harrison
5. LHP Josh Hader 15. OF Demi Orimoloye
6. SS Gilbert Lara 16. OF Tyrone Taylor
7. C Jacob Nottingham 17. RHP Marcos Diplan
8. RHP Cody Ponce 18. OF Michael Reed
9. RHP Zach Davies 19.

Again, if you need a little guidance, here are the organizational lists that have been released up to this point. Our list will of course supersede all of them as the definitive Brewers prospects ranking once complete:

Baseball Prospectus: 1-1011-20
ESPN/Keith Law

Voting will be live until the following day (or Monday, for polls posted on Friday) at noon for each poll in this countdown. If at any point there's a player you would have voted for and think others would as well, just let me know in the comments.
