Brew Crew Ball Community Top Prospects Vote: #20

New, comments

Some of y'all got too much time on your hands

Well, we have reached the end of our countdown. We had over 3300 votes between two iterations of the poll for the No. 19 spot, which would be great for our #brand if there had been even remotely that many unique page views. Alas, there was not, and some of y'all have gotten too crafty for your own good.

Regardless, the young shortstop Jacob Gatewood, who did have a small lead before the shenanigans began, takes the penultimate spot in our countdown. We're going to do things a little different today, in order to control the number of bogus votes. Instead of a poll, the top candidates will be listed below in the comments, where you can 'rec' your choice. Of course, this means you can vote for more than one player, but you know, don't. In order to participate in the voting today you'll need to be logged in, so if you're a more casual reader without an SB Nation account, now's the perfect time to sign up -- it's very easy since you can log in with your Facebook or Twitter information, and it takes only a few seconds. In the final round of voting, we're adding SS Yadiel Rivera to the group of candidates. Here's your list so far:

1. SS Orlando Arcia 11. LHP Kodi Medeiros
2. OF Brett Phillips 12. SS Isan Diaz
3. RHP Jorge Lopez 13. OF Clint Coulter
4. OF Trent Clark 14. OF Monte Harrison
5. LHP Josh Hader 15. OF Demi Orimoloye
6. SS Gilbert Lara 16. OF Tyrone Taylor
7. C Jacob Nottingham 17. RHP Marcos Diplan
8. RHP Cody Ponce 18. OF Michael Reed
9. RHP Zach Davies 19. SS Jacob Gatewood
10. RHP Devin Williams 20.

Again, if you need a little guidance, here are the organizational lists that have been released up to this point. Our list will of course supersede all of them as the definitive Brewers prospects ranking once complete:

Minor League Ball
Baseball America
Baseball Prospectus: 1-1011-20
ESPN/Keith Law

Voting will be live until the following day (or Monday, for polls posted on Friday) at noon for each poll in this countdown. If at any point there's a player you would have voted for and think others would as well, just let me know in the comments.
