- Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley has his two-game suspension to start the 2016 season nullified after his appeal was successful, citing inconsistent punishment with the previous rules.
- The Rays signed Dan Johnson to a minor-league deal. Johnson will convert from a first baseman to a right-handed knuckleball pitcher.
- The Rockies signed outfielder Ryan Raburn to a minor-league contract.
- The White Sox signed outfielder Austin Jackson to a one-year, $5 million contract and designated third baseman Mike Olt for assignment.
