The Brewers and the Pirates are tied in the series with a win each. Today will be the rubber match. Milwaukee sends out young Zach Davies for his first start with the team this year. He had been pitching with AAA Colorado Springs, but with Matt Garza out the Brewers finally needed a fifth starter. In 2 starts (9.0 IP) he logged a 2.00 ERA and 1.86 FIP. It's a very small sample size, but hopefully it means he's locked in and ready to go. He pitched to a 3.71 ERA in 6 starts with the Brewers in September of last year.
The Pirates will send out spring hero Juan Nicasio to pitch for them. He's had one excellent start and one terrible start. We'll have to wait and see which version the Brewers will face today.
