The Mets pitching finished it's domination of the Brewers with a 3-1 win at Citi Field. The three game sweep ended the week on a down note after the series win over the Cubs.

Noah Syndergaard allowed a first inning run on an RBI single by Jonathon Lucroy, but shut the Brewers out the rest of his seven innings. Former Brewer Jim Henderson and closer Jeurys Familia finished the game with a scoreless inning each. Michael Conforto homered in the bottom of the first off of Chase Anderson, and Asdrubal Cabrera added a two run single in the fourth to cap the scoring.

Anderson couldn't duplicate his strong outing against the Cubs last Monday night, but his performance was solid enough to give hope that he can keep the Brewers in games when he starts. Jhan Martinez made his Brewer debut a good one with two innings of no-hit ball, striking out 4. He walked one. Jeremy Jeffress pitched the eighth to get in an inning, allowing two hits but no runs.

All eight of the Brewers hits were singles.

The Brewers (18-26) are off Monday and travel to Atlanta to face the Braves (12-31). Jimmy Nelson (4-3) will face Julio Teheran, who is 1-4 but has pitched well this season.
