Well yesterday's game was pretty fun. Jered Weaver's fastball sits in the low to mid-80's and the Brewers were all over it. Ryan Braun had three hits for the second game in a row. Aaron Hill had a solid outing too. There were a lot of positives yesterday, not the least of which was Jimmy Nelson pitching 7 innings of two-run ball.
Nick Tropeano will take the ball for the Angels today hoping for a better day. He throws a fastball in the low 90's and compliments it with a changeup and curveball mix.
On the Brewers side of things is an interesting story. When David Stearns took over as the Brewers General Manager his first move was to acquire 30 year old starter/reliever Junior Guerra off waivers from the White Sox. He's had a long journey to the majors that took him all over the world--literally, he played in Italy and Spain. He looked to have reinvented himself last year showing more strike out ability than he'd ever showed before. He acquitted himself well enough in the hitter friendly environment at Colorado Springs though four outings. Now he'll make his first ever MLB start tonight. He throws a mid-90's fastball, slider, and split-change.
