More pitchers on the roster mean no place for Rule 5 pick Jones

The Brewers activated Michael Blazek from the DL today and returned Corey Knebel to AAA Colorado Springs, as reported by Adam McCalvey here.

Knebel has struggled since returning from the DL himself, compiling an ERA over 8. Blazek returned to action immediately today, throwing a scoreless seventh against the Dodgers, with a stirkeout.

The Brewers also sent pitcher Rule 5 pick Zack Jones back to the Twins, also as reported by McCalvey.

Jones was injured in spring training and was still rehabbing; the Brewers have added several arms as the season has progressed and Jones faced long odds to return to the big league roster when he was ready to pitch again. The Twins have assigned him to the minors.
