Box Score

We knew weeks like this were coming when the rebuild started. Unfortunately, it doesn’t make it much easier when the weeks happen.

Let’s keep it somewhat quick tonight. Wily Peralta had his share of struggles again tonight, allowing four runs in 6+ innings. He pitched into the seventh tonight, which may have been a mistake as he allowed home runs to the first two batters of that inning. He allowed eight hits in the outing, and only two walks. However, he also only recorded one strikeout.

Meanwhile, Felix Hernandez was as good as usual. He pitched eight innings, the first seven being scoreless. The Brewers did get to him in the eighth, getting two runs from a Ryan Braun double and Hernan Perez single. However, that’s all they would get as he struck out Chris Carter to end the inning.

Any chance of a comeback was crushed soon after that. Blaine Boyer started the eighth, allowing the first three batters to reach before being pulled. Rob Scahill came in next, and doubles from Adam Lind and Mike Zunino ended any hope the Brewers had of a comeback as the Mariners scored four runs to make it 8-4.

Jonathan Villar was the only Brewer to record multiple hits as he went 2-for-4. Five other Brewers did record a hit, but none of them reached base twice in the game.

The Brewers will try to head home with one win from this road trip in the series finale tomorrow afternoon. Matt Garza faces Ariel Miranda in the matinee matchup. First pitch is at 3:10 pm
