The Milwaukee Brewers have added an increased focus on expanding their analytics department under the David Stearns regime, and according to Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star the club has added a notable name to their staff. Mike Groopman has spent the last 10 seasons with the Royals and helped lead the development and expansion of Kansas City's analytics department. Groopman's work helped spur KC's run to consecutive World Series, including winning the 2015 title. He'll now serve as Milwaukee's director of international scouting, a position that was not possible in Kansas City.
