Milwaukee Brewers "represent the most obvious match" for Chris Archer trade, per Sporting News

The Tampa Bay Rays are considering rebuilding this offseason, and according to reports are listening to offers on their star players. That includes Chris Archer, their 29 year old ace pitcher who is under team control for another four seasons thanks to the cheap pre-arb extension he signed back in 2014. The Rays may be reluctant to deal Archer and are certainly in no rush to do so, but if he is indeed on the market there figures to be widespread interest in his services. Nick Stellini of The Sporting News took a look at eight potential landing spots for Archer if the Rays choose to move him, and at #1 he lists the Milwaukee Brewers. Stellini cites Milwaukee's reported interest in adding a frontline starter this winter as well as their deep farm system as reasons that the Brewers "represent the most obvious match" for Archer.
