Sometimes, there are teams that just seem to own another team at any given time. For years, the Brewers consistently beat up on the Pittsburgh Pirates, to the point of hilarity.
So far this year, it looks like the Reds might be that team for the 2017 Brewers. Milwaukee looks for a three-game sweep this afternoon against the Redlegs, which would push their season record against Cincinnati to 6-1. The Brewers are 6-10 against everyone else to this point.
Of course, most of that success can be attributed to Eric Thames, who has hit 8 of his 11 home runs against Cincy pitching, but he isn't the only one raking against the Reds. Hernan Perez is coming off a night in which he went 3-for-3 with two triples and a home run.
Unfortunately for the Brewers (and probably fortunately for the Reds), this is the last time these two teams will meet until June 27th.
It's another earlier-than-normal start time, with first pitch for this matinee coming at 12:40 p.m. CDT. The only TV outlet for this one will be MLB Network.
