The Cards took three of four from the Brewers at Miller Park ten days ago, so time for the Milwaukee Nine to sweep away the Birds in their own home.

Tonight's match pits Zach Davies of Milwaukee (2-2, 6.57) against Michael Wacha for St. Louis (2-1, 2.55). Davies appears to be regaining his form from last season, and his last start yielded five shutout innings. He garnered the only win in the previous series against the Cardinals, although he allowed four runs in 5.1 innings.

After injuring his trapezius muscle (right arm) yesterday, Ryan Braun will be out of the line-up tonight. Braun doesn't expect the injury to be long term, so no move has been made to replace him or put him on the ten day DL. The Brewers will be playing a man short. Travis Shaw returns to the line-up after missing yesterday's game with an injured right hand, the result of a hit by pitch.
