Hernan Perez’s home run on Sunday tied the game for the Brewers and also led to this interesting statistical note:
Five #Brewers now have double-digit homers this season: Hernan Perez, Keon Broxton, Domingo Santana, Travis Shaw and Eric Thames.
— Carson Mason (@CarsonAnnMason) June 18, 2017
Sunday was the Brewers' 71st game of the season, so Perez and the four others listed above are all on pace to hit significantly more than 20 home runs. Eric Thames is on pace to become just the fourth Brewer ever to hit 45, but I digress.
If five Brewers manage to collect 20 or more home runs this season it will be just the fifth time in franchise history they've accomplished that feat. The other teams to do it were 2010, 2008, 2007 and 1982. Of course, this begs the question: How many of the players involved in those seasons can you remember in two minutes?
