Yesterday’s Results
The Brewers had the day off.
Brewers News and Notes
The Brewers got their first off day in two weeks yesterday, giving them a chance to heal up a bit from some of their recent injuries. It’s been a lot of action for the Brewers lately, playing through a period of 32 games in 33 days before yesterday’s rest day. It doesn’t get much better right now, with 13 straight games scheduled until the All-Star Break, and their only off-day taken up by a make-up of the Cubs “rainout” from May. At least reinforcements are coming in the form of newly acquired catcher Stephen Vogt, and Ryan Braun and Jonathan Villar returning from the DL.
Speaking of the All-Star Break, support remains low for the Brewers in the game. They are not among the leaders at any of the positions in voting despite leading their division. Any elections to the game this year will come via the player selections or the coach’s selection, so we’ll have to wait and see who they pick to represent the Brewers in this year’s game.
