Play begins today for the Dominican Summer League. Generally considered the lowest rung on the minor league ladder, the DSL is formed of teams that play their games at the various team complexes located throughout the country. This is the league where most international signees begin their careers. This year the Brewers will not only field their own team, but will also share a second squad with the Indians that includes 20 Milwaukee prospects. Big bonus players to keep an eye on in this league include: Jean Carlos Carmona, Pablo Abreu, Victor Maria, and Ernesto Martinez.
