The Brewers go for their first series win since their trip to San Diego May 15th-18th. The Giants send veteran Johnny Cueto (5-5, 4.38) out to go for a split against the Brewers Paolo Espino (0-0, 4.50). Espino is making the second start of his major league career after ten years of toiling in the minors, substituting for Matt Garza, currently on the disabled list for Milwaukee.

The Brewers lead the NL Central by one game over the Cubs, with the Cincinnati Reds in third and three games back and the St. Louis Cardinals in fourth 4½ games back. The Pirates trail by 5½, in fifth.
