FanRag Sports’ Jon Heyman is reporting that Brewers’ top prospect Lewis Brinson is headed back to Milwaukee.

Brinson was pulled from his start with Colorado Springs Tuesday night in the first inning. This caused mass panic among fans, speculating that the #1 farm asset for the Crew was headed to another team. Thankfully, Heyman ended that speculation.

Right now, there’s no word on the second half of the move. Ryan Braun was removed from last night’s game but it was when the Brewers had the lead well in hand. This has become a common practice for manager Craig Counsell to protect Braun from further injury.

Brinson will be making his second appearance with the Crew. Earlier this season he came up and played sparingly with little to show for it. He returned to AAA earlier this month with a .097/.161/.361 slash line and a 37% K-rate. Here’s hoping round two goes much better.
