Things are not going well. The community (N = 51) has responded to the Brewers' recent downturn in a couple of interesting ways. Playoff and win total expectations are down, and in the case of the former that also has to do with the Cubs' recent success. However, evaluations of David Stearns are nearly unchanged from last week, while evaluations of Craig Counsell have started to polarize a bit -- both disapproval and strong approval made big jumps from last week. Counsell also saw his grades on bullpen usage slip, though there remains a strong B/C consensus for Stearns on bullpen construction. Also of note, we seem to have finally caught up Jesús Aguilar, as he makes a big jump in the first base OPS lead prediction, with dark horse "Someone else" also strangely receiving a few votes. Perhaps multiple voters expect Travis Shaw to play exactly one game at first, in which he hits for the cycle? This seems a reasonable inference.
