I have no idea what Craig Counsell can do to stir up the Brewers bats. Maybe he could have me make out the lineups. But what difference does it make if nobody is hitting?
Zach Davies (13-5), 4.10 looks to continue his quest for a 20 win season tonight, but will need at least ONE run to do so...and probably more. The Twins counter with a new member of their team making his first start - Dietrich Ennis makes his major league debut. Ennis came from the Yankees after week-long Twin Jaime Garcia was dealt to them. Over the course of his 2017 minor league season, spent with three teams, he has fashioned a 2.10 ERA with a 0.994 WHIP. What better team could there be for the lefty to make his first start against?
Orlando Arcia gets bumped up to the second spot, and Villi goes at second base rather than Hernan Perez against the lefty.
There is moisture in the forecast for tonight, so we might see some roof-closed baseball. Maybe that'll help. (But it's only like a 18% chance, so even if it would help there's not much chance it will happen.)
