Arizona League Brewers’ player Julio Mendez reportedly suffered an injury so severe, umps had to call off the game.
There are no firm reports on exactly what happened as of yet, but as of right now Mendez was allegedly struck in the heart by a pitch and collapsed on the field. The below tweeter claims to have heard players, coaches and emergency personnel saying Mendez had no pulse before he was rushed to a local hospital.

Teammates could be seen tweeting out calls for prayer for the injured Brewer. We will report more as it becomes available.
