Game Thread #112: Milwaukee Brewers (58-53) @ Tampa Bay Rays (57-54)

The Cubs beat the Nats and Edwin Jackson this afternoon, so the Brewers look to remain a half game back.

The Brewers are actually trying to extend a winning streak today...but the model (winning two straight while only scoring 4 runs total) is unlikely to be sustainable. The bats try to wake up against Rays' starter Alex Cobb (9-7. 3.89), and are probably more likely to than at any other time with offense inducer Zach Davies on the mound. Davies comes in at 12-5, 4.45.

Eric Sogard at second for Hernan Perez is the only line-up switch for Milwaukee, and he drops behind Manny Pina in the batting order. Eric Thames continues at lead-off.
