I’m curious to know what your expectations are for the last week of the Championship Season of Major League Baseball, or at least as far as the Milwaukee Brewers are concerned.
How the Brewers finish obviously depends on how the Rockies do, so here are the possible scenarios (I’ve eliminated the Cardinals because it’s my poll and I can):
The Rockies win all five; the Brewers are eliminated.
The Rockies go 4-1, the Brewers go 6-0; tie
The Rockies go 4-1, the Brewers go 5-1 or worse; eliminated
The Rockies go 3-2, the Brewers go 6-0; win Wild Card
The Rockies go 3-2, the Brewers go 5-1; tie
The Rockies go 3-2, the Brewers go 4-2 or worse; eliminated
The Rockies go 2-3, the Brewers go 6-0 or 5-1, win Wild Card
The Rockies go 2-3, the Brewers go 4-2, tie
The Rockies go 2-3, the Brewers go 3-3 or worse, eliminated
The Rockies go 1-4, the Brewers go 6-0, 5-1, or 4-2; win Wild Card
The Rockies go 1-4, the Brewers go 3-3; tie
The Rockies go 1-4, the Brewers go 2-4 or worse; eliminated
The Rockies go 0-5, the Brewers go 6-0, 5-1, 4-2 or 3-3; win Wild Card
The Rockies go 0-5, the Brewers go 2-4; tie
The Rockies go 0-5, the Brewers go 1-5 or worse...Oh My God
Explain yourselves in comments, please!

Poll
Your expectation for the last week of the season:
This poll is closed
-
25%
The Brewers win the Wild Card
-
27%
The Brewers tie for the Wild Card
-
47%
The Brewers are eliminated
It is worth noting that the Dodgers might have more to play for than just pride in the last series with the Rockies. If the Indians are still pushing them for the best record in baseball, which earns home field for the World Series, they will be playing to win. An observation on Wild Card races: without doing research, it seems to me that teams lose Wild Card races more often than they win them...it becomes a war of attrition.
The poll will close at 11 p.m. tonight, so you can cheat and wait for the end of tonight’s game. But where’s the sport in that?
