After falling in Game 1 of the five-game series, the Sky Sox look to even up the series at 1-1 before returning home for the final three games.
Getting the start tonight for the Sky Sox is Aaron Wilkerson, who has spent his whole season in Biloxi before getting called to Colorado Springs to play in the playoffs. For the Shuckers this season, he has posted a 3.16 ERA and 3.00 FIP in 24 starts covering 142.1 innings. This season was a step back for Wilkerson, who had pitched for Colorado Springs last year but only recorded a 6.42 ERA and 3.87 FIP in 54.2 innings. Before that, he did have a 2.44 ERA and 3.21 FIP over 48 innings for the Red Sox Triple-A affiliate.
On the other side, Kevin Herget will start for the Redbirds. Since getting promoted to Triple-A midseason, Herget has posted a 4.62 ERA and 4.41 FIP in 62.1 innings. He is an unranked prospect in the Cardinals organization, playing for them for the last five years after being drafted in the 39th round of the 2013 draft.
