Milwaukee Brewers to sign Ji-Man Choi to minor league deal, per report

According to reports out of Korea, the Milwaukee Brewers have inked first baseman Ji-Man Choi to a minor league contract for 2018. Choi's deal includes an invitation to Spring Training and comes with an $850K base salary if he makes the big leagues. He can earn an addition $650K in incentives, per the report. Choi will also get the opportunity to play some left field. He owns a paltry .181/297/.386 slash with with 7 home runs in 147 big league plate appearances in parts of two seasons with the Angels and Yankees, but he did bat an impressive .288/.373/.538 with 15 home runs in 87 games at the AAA level for New York in 2017.
