The Cleveland Indians of Goodyear host the Milwaukee Brewers of Maryvale in a match-up of the two second place clubs in the Cactus League. Today marks the approximate half-way point of the Cactus League season, so it’s time for the Crew to make their move. And with the Indians playing split squad games today, it’s likely that most of the “regulars” will be at home to face the Brewers. With only one game left with the first place Cubs and just 15 left in total (those games against the Grapefruit Astros don’t count...unless the Brewers need to win them, then I’ll count them).
Lefty Wade Miley takes the bump for the Brewers and faces the tough righty Carlos Carrasco for the Tribe. Game time bumps to 3:05 with the annual advent of Daylight Savings Time. (There is 0% chance of rain today.)
