The Milwaukee Brewers of Maryvale (13-7-1) are on the Arizona highways today, traveling to face the Cincinnati Reds of Goodyear (7-13). Lefty Wade Miley looks to lock down a spot in the Milwaukee rotation, and the Reds are sending out Mike Lorenzen, who has a 9.45 ERA to go with his 1.80 WHIP over 6.2 innings. Miley has worked 13 innings in four appearances, three of them starts. He touts a 1.00 WHIP with a 1.38 ERA.

The Brewers had their five game winning streak snapped yesterday, but the Cubs also lost so Milwaukee remains a half game up on Chicago (NL).

Mixed rules today! The Brewers are using a DH (Domingo Santana) while the Reds are not. Brewer manager Craig Counsell is apparently unconcerned with Miley’s bat.
