Junior Guerra makes his third start and fourth appearance of the spring as the Milwaukee Brewers (7-4-1) visit their Cactus Cup rivals, the Kansas City Royals (6-3). Kansas City counters with righty Jakob Junis, who is making his spring training 2018 debut. For his career, Junis has thrown 98.1 innings in twenty appearances, 16 of them starts. He has 80 strikeouts and carries a 4.30 ERA and 1.28 WHIP.
With news of Zach Davies’ strained oblique it looks like Guerra has a very good chance of opening the season in the Milwaukee rotation. Guerra has thrown 6.0 innings and has a WHIP of 1.50 as batters have hit .308 against him. He has just one walk and has allowed just one run.
Jesus Aguilar starts at first base as his spring training audition continues.
