Game Thread #14: Milwaukee Brewers (7-6) @ New York Mets (10-1)

The road trip continues in Flushing, NY

Scott Kane-USA TODAY Sports

After a very welcome day off, the Milwaukee Brewers (7-6) visit the red-hot New York Mets (10-1) as they try to extend a 5-1 road record and find a more consistently good brand of baseball. Lorenzo Cain returns for Milwaukee.

If the Pittsburgh Pirates are for real, the Brewers are 2.5 games out in second place in the NL Central. If they aren't for real, the Brewers lead the Cubs by a half game and the Cardinals by a game.

Zach Davies (0-1, 5.40) goes for the Brewers against lefty Steven Matz (0-1, 3.00)
