Milwaukee's bats were shut down in a 2-1 loss to Arizona in the desert on Tuesday night, but they still have a chance to go 2-for-2 in series wins on this long west coast road trip with a win this afternoon.
The problem is they'll have to win a day game to do it -- something that's proven tricky. Despite a record of 25-18, they've gone just 5-9 in day games so far, hitting .174/.237/.275 in those games.
Ryan Braun will also miss his third consecutive start with a back issue, and Hernan Perez's availability may also be in question. That would leave the Brewers with a pretty short bench once again if neither can pinch-hit.
On the mound, it'll be Brandon Woodruff against Matt Koch, who has an ERA of 2.43 to this point but a FIP of 4.89. We'll see if the Brewers can average those numbers out a little bit.
First pitch is set for 2:40 p.m. Milwaukee time.
Let's get that series win. #GenerationDbacks
