After missing the entire Diamondbacks series with back tightness, the Brewers decided to make a roster move and place Ryan Braun on the 10-day DL. This move was expected prior to the Twins series, though a corresponding move has not been made yet. Braun has played in 37 of the team's 44 games this season, though he hasn't played since being scratched from the lineup on Monday. Though this is his first DL stint of the year, he has mentioned issues with the back in Spring Training, and it also came up while in New York. Placing him on the DL now will give the Brewers a chance to get him some rest and get healthier. With the Brewers in Minnesota and playing with the DH over the next three games, a bat may be the call-up for now. Potential options include Brett Phillips, Ji-Man Choi, and Keon Broxton.
