In a surprise to nobody, last night’s ankle injury has landed Tyler Saladino on the disabled list and has returned Orlando Arcia to the Brewers from AAA Colorado Springs. Lando had three hits in eleven at bats with no extra base hits, with no walks and four strikeouts while with the Sky Sox. It looks like he will need to refine his approach at the plate while playing major league ball.

Arcia is back at it for the Brewers, and this extends Eric Sogard’s stay with the Brewers at least until Saladino’s return from the disabled list.
Arcia won’t be back quickly enough to be in today’s starting line-up, and Sogard will be the starting shortstop against the Cardinals and returning phenom Alex Reyes, who at least is a righty.
At least this improves the Brewers’ defense. Saladino is a solid defender; Sogard is an average at best shortstop. Arcia is an exceptional defender. Hopefully his bat will return to his last season’s second half performance levels, and he can aid the Brewers’ quest for the postseason.
