Last week, we asked you to vote on which minor league prospect you would like to promote to the majors, from a group of prospects who had no to very little time in the majors so far. This vote was more divided than some of our other polls, but there was a clear winner. With 45% of the 2,706 votes, Freddy Peralta was the player that you voted as the player that should get the chance. Coming up behind in 2nd with 24% of the vote was Corbin Burnes. Rounding out the vote was Keston Hiura with 14%, Nate Orf with 9%, and Jacob Nottingham with 8%.
This week, we’re going to turn the poll around and look at the opposite end of the spectrum. There have been several players on the team who haven’t met the higher expectations that were placed on them before the season. While the Brewers have been playing well, these players’ performance has been underwhelming. That brings us to this week’s question: Which young player, who had high preseason expectations, has been the biggest disappointment?
Of course, this isn’t an all-inclusive list. The BCB Staff came up with a list of five players that we felt met this criteria the best. There may be other players that deserve consideration, but for this poll, we’re going to go with the below five players.
Take a look through the list, pick the player who you think has been the biggest disappointment, and then join us in the comments to discuss your vote.
