The Milwaukee Brewers Twitter account broke some exciting news: Jeremy Jeffress is officially an All-Star.
Jeffress was selected as an injury replacement for Washington Nationals closer Sean Doolittle. He is the fifth Brewers player in the game, joining Lorenzo Cain, Christian Yelich, Josh Hader and Jesus Aguilar. This is the first time in franchise history that Milwaukee has had five players at the All-Star game.
JJ has had an outstanding season out of the pen for Milwaukee. In 45.1 IP, Jeffress has a 0.99 ERA with 47 Ks to 13 BBs. Perhaps most impressively, the right hander has stranded 25 of his 33 inherited runners.
