The Milwaukee Brewers really, really need it to be Monday.
Up to five straight losses at the tail end of their 21 games-in-20 days stretch, another player is landing on the disabled list ahead of the All-Star Break.
Jonathan Villar is the latest. He’ll be shut down for 10 days, and Brett Phillips will rejoin the club.

Villar becomes the third player put on the disabled list this weekend, joining Eric Thames and Junior Guerra. Manny Pina and Ryan Braun make it five players added to the DL in the last week.
Braun may be back in time for the Brewers’ first series after the break against the NL West-leading Dodgers, but the rest of the crew either won’t be ready (Pina) or won’t be eligible to return until the following week against Washington.
At this rate the Brewers might just need to make a trade (for Manny Machado or someone else) just to field at 25-man roster.
Tom Haudricourt says Phillips will start the first half finale in right field, with Hernan Perez starting at second base.
