Adam McCalvy is reporting that the Milwaukee Brewers still do not have a deal in place with their 2018 first-round pick Brice Turang. Turang has a strong commitment to play for LSU and wanted a large signing bonus to leave that agreement. According to this report, the Brewers and Turang’s camp have not come to an agreement that meets Turang’s expectations. The Brewers have until this Friday, July 6 to reach a deal without Turang. If they don’t sign him, they would receive a first-round pick in the 2019 draft as compensation.
