The Brewers are dealing with several injuries right now. In total, 10 players are currently on the Brewers’ injury report. Some are only expected to be out for a short time, while others are expected to be out for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, there are players who we haven’t heard about in weeks. Let’s take a little time and find out where each injured player is right now.

Day-to-Day

Jesus Aguilar: Missed the last few games with a sore hamstring. It’s not serious, and he will hopefully be back in the lineup tonight. (Todd Rosiak)

10-day DL

Matt Albers: Out since June 12 with a right shoulder injury. He is close to returning, as he is currently on a rehab assignment. Due to weather, he threw a simulated game on Saturday, and his next stop is Colorado Springs. He could be back by the end of the month. (Adam McCalvy)

Zach Davies: Out since May 30 with right rotator cuff inflammation. He made a couple of rehab starts, but was shut down again after experiencing back tightness. He threw batting practice yesterday, and is expected to go on a rehab assignment starting on Thursday. It will be one start at Wisconsin and then two at Colorado Springs. That would put a potential return in early August. (Adam McCalvy)

Junior Guerra: Out since July 14 with a forearm injury. It’s just going to be a minimum stint, and he is the scheduled starter for today.

Eric Thames: Out since July 14 with a sore hamstring. It’s expected to be a minimum stint, and he could be back today. (Adam McCalvy)

Jonathan Villar: Out since July 15 with a sprained thumb. Unfortunately there are no updates here, so it looks like it will take longer than the minimum 10 days.

60-day DL

Nick Franklin: Out since May 9 with a right quad strain. The last update available is that he’s rehabbing in extended Spring Training as of June 11. However, there’s no further information available.

Jimmy Nelson: Out all season since undergoing right shoulder surgery in September of last year. He has been throwing off a mound as of July 13, but there’s still no official timetable for his return.

Out for the Season

Brent Suter: He was placed on the DL yesterday with a torn UCL ligament. His season is officially over, and he will be undergoing Tommy John surgery in the near future. Expected return is either late 2019 or the start of 2020.

Stephen Vogt: He has missed the whole season with a shoulder injury. He injured it in spring training and then it went out completely while on rehab assignment, resulting in surgery. He could return in 2019.
