Christian Yelich’s awards for his recent performance keep rolling in. After garnering Top Hitting Story in BCB’s Sunday Sundries for two consecutive weeks, MLB caught up in recognizing his very hot bat with their NL Player of the Week award:
Yelich was in the middle of almost every offensive rally that the Brewers put up in a week that saw them chop three games off of the Chicago Cubs Central division lead until a loss Sunday dropped them back to a game and a half back of their rivals heading into the second leg of their west coast swing, with four games in Los Angeles against the Dodgers.
It’s the first time in Yelich’s career he’s received the honor.
Stay hot, my friend!
