Ken Rosenthal says the Milwaukee Brewers are looking into a trade for Manny Machado. According to the report, Milwaukee is doing its “due diligence” on the Baltimore Orioles sluggers.
This isn’t the first time the Brewers have been tied to the shortstop this season. Bob Nightengale reported at the end of June that the Crew will be strongly in play for Machado.
The talk surrounding a Machado trade has been heating up lately. Two of the teams being mentioned the most are the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Atlanta Braves. One of the pieces mentioned in a potential trade with Arizona is pitcher Jon Duplantier and Pavin Smith.

Rosenthal notes that the Brewers likely won’t meet the Orioles’ price tag. It’s still worth noting that the team is pursuing major trade pieces ahead of the deadline.
