The Milwaukee Brewers are looking at potential moves to make ahead of their playoff push, but according to a recent report from Jon Heyman, they want to acquire someone who can help the team for the next few seasons.

Heyman reports that Milwaukee is surveying the starting pitching market. The team is not putting much effort into available rental players.

The report goes with some other rumors we’ve heard this season. Milwaukee has already been tied to pitchers like Noah Syndergaard and Jacob deGrom, who both fit Heyman’s specifications.

Stearns said last week that if the team would acquire a starting pitcher, it would be someone who can lead the rotation.
